  Bring Passport Photos!
  
  There were at least 4 other people who went through security and waited in line, only to be turned away at the counter because they didn't have updated passport photos. Today, my family and a conga-line of strangers marched off in the midst of Buffalo snowstorm to a not-so nearby drugstore to obtain photos.

  Another thing I noticed was the exit door from the passport room is not marked. I sat for over an hour and watched as person after person, some holding infants, tugged on the locked security (entrance) door thinking it's an EXIT Door. The agency could easily affix a decal to the door stating "NOT AN EXIT DOOR" and save people the hassle of tugging and nearly dislocating their shoulder on the wrong door, but then again, what would you expect from a government bureaucracy? On a positive note, the employees were helpful. The only other thing noted was the cleanliness of the front lobby- the mats were coated in layers of salt and debris and looked like they'd never been washed- not what you'd expect from Federal Government facility.
